IF YOU STILL REMEMBER ME
When the entire world starts forgetting Mara, only four men still remember her—and each of them seems to know a piece of a past she can no longer reach.
Story
Mara goes to work one morning expecting an ordinary day.
The receptionist tells her the company has never employed anyone by that name.
When she returns home, another woman is living in her apartment. Her bank account is gone. Her friends do not recognize her. Even government databases contain no proof that she ever existed.
In this world, a technology known as the ECHO Protocol can erase a person from public records—and, eventually, from human memory itself.
Mara appears to be one of the erased.
Then, just as she is running out of places to turn, she finds a photograph of four men.
The disturbing part is not that she does not remember them.
It is that every one of them remembers her.
And none of them is willing to tell her the whole truth.
